A Unique Degree
The degree, unique to the University of North Carolina system, and the only one of its kind east of the Mississippi, provides majors with a solid background in business, as well as the pre-law foundation for continued study in law school. The combination of business and law emphasizes critical and analytical thinking, legal research and writing, and presentation skills.

Western’s Business Administration and Law Program offers you a quality education in the area of business administration and law, business policy, and strategy through synergistic teaching, research, and service.

The Business Administration and Law Degree
The B.S.B.A in Business Administration and Law degree will allow you to develop a comprehensive background in business theory, application, and practice through academic rigor and application of practical relevance.

You will receive a thorough background in the interrelationship of business and law, legal theory, legal research, and the application of law in everyday business transactions and management.

Business administration and law majors receive the best of both worlds. This degree opens doors to interesting and promising careers, and provides you with an excellent foundation for further study at the graduate or professional level.

The Campus Mediation Society, which is open to all students, encourages the use of mediation to resolve disputes and provides opportunities for community and student service.
