The Office for Rural Education at Western Carolina University serves as the sponsoring unit for the Mu Eta Chapter of the Kappa Delta Pi Honor Society in Education (KDP). The purpose of Kappa Delta Pi is to recognize scholarship and to enhance professional development among education majors, including students majoring in Communication Disorders, at both the undergraduate and graduate levels. Initiation requirements include a 3.0 GPA for undergraduates, along with formal admission to an education program, and an established record of excellence in their course of study. The Mu Eta Chapter has been active on WCU’s campus since 1970. For additional information about Kappa Delta Pi, please visit the national website at www.kdp.org.
