The purpose of the camp is to offer children in grades one through eight an opportunity to engage in challenging but fun learning activities as a part of the “Creative Thinking and Problem Solving” course for teachers. Activities will include multimedia software, digital video recording, robotics and other technology courses.

The program will cost $109 per student, which covers lunch and technology materials such as digital equipment, cartooning and robotics kits, and books.

“Last year’s event was a big success, and we couldn’t accommodate all of the children who wanted to participate,” said Lisa Bloom, professor of human services. “We are looking forward to this year’s event.”

Western’s education majors, graduate students and faculty members will facilitate the event.

All participants are urged to apply by May 16 because of limited space. Additional family members may participate at a discounted rate. Scholarships are available based upon need.
